The restaurants were great, the view is great, very friendly, very accomodating
The pool - with the swimming lessons it was hard for my kids to enjoy and do what they want.
A warm comfortable bed, because that's all I used it for!
Our room was nice
We were awaken before 10 in morn with staff throwing boxes around in a store room next to our room. Was told by jesse at front desk(who said he was acting manager) that the women was doing her job and rolled his eyes. Left hotel early, will not go back. Stayed there 5 times over summer and had numerous prob . Always addressed them to Jesse . Staff are very rude . They act as if you impose on them if you are around when their cleaning or if you voice complaint!!! Was told Alex is manager but he won't help anyway. Was told he is owners spoiled brate by a heavy set lady who works front desk also. It's too bad cause beside staff this is a nice hotel-
Restaurant has a panoramic view of Lake Ontario.
This Inn charges a daily facilities fee. I was not informed of this at the time I booked and was taken aback that Booked.net did not provide all the information I needed at the time of booking to make a fully informed decision. Full disclosure of all the costs is needed before a contract is struck between a client and a provider.
We liked our room which was clean and comfortable for our overnight stay, a great view of the lake and marina from our balcony. Staff were friendly, pool looked inviting but sadly did not have time to try it out.
The only small problem was that our room was not ready on arrival, which was shortly after 3pm, but after 20 mins we were allowed into our room. The only other complaint was the restaurant attached to the Beacon Harbourside the food was awful, both mine and my husbands main course was cold, and my sweet (cinemon sticks) were greasy and tasteless!. The young girl was lovely, but we would not reccomend the food.
Great view of the lake and harbour from the room. Staff was super friendly and accommodating
Sunday night, the restaurant closed at 9:00 pm when we just got there. We could still eat in the separate bar/pub style restaurant but it was Thanksgiving and we were hoping for a nicer meal than pub fare.
Harbor was beautiful. Rooms were very quiet.
Wifi was not working for the first few hours I was there. Cable for television did not work properly for my entire stay. Every station was snowy and you had to watch the picture thru the snow...absolutely ridiculous. I was moved to another room, where the exact same issues were present. It was not a relaxing experience at all when cable and wifi were not working. I would recommend against staying at this hotel.
we like the location and the area and the rate is reasonable
we come here periodically. the staff was rude to us and gave us a terrible room - the first one off the main hallway and the ice machine was broken so we heard it running at night and the repairs being done in morning. felt that we could have been offered a choice especially since we arrived early.
It was all good................and our dog loved being able to walk right outside his room to the scenic harbour on Lake Ontario. It was also very close to Niagara on the Lake. The prime rib was excellent, and on sale!!
They have very nice pet friendly rooms that walk out onto green grass. Great food at restaurant . Jesse who worked front desk very helpful gentalman. Refreshing to have easy check ins and outs, - amazed at deal of rooms there sometimes . A great value. Really like the place. Cleaning staff nice and polite. Restarant staff very easy going, nice place to dine or room service . Great view from dining area.
The desk staff were very courteous and helpful, the pool and other facilities excellent and the exterior view quite beautiful.
There were at least a dozen mosquito's in my room and I killed 2 medium / large spiders within the room. When I stepped onto the patio to enjoy the view it was covered with webs and several dozen smallish spiders along with a monster approximately 1.5 - 2 inches in diameter. The blanketing of webs on the patio was well established, I would guess at least 2 weeks worth of accumulation. When I left the next morning I was covered in mosquito bites and had one large oozing bite on my left elbow that I suspect must have come from a spider I missed killing. Not a pleasant experience and certainly not what I have come to expect from a Best Western.
Cleaning of rooms was often late or not at all as said understaffed. Also my confirmation said free parking and Wi Fi but had to pay a daily facility fee. Please get your info correct as presently misleading.
Love the location and the view of the harbour, clean rooms comfortable beds.
The woman at the front desk needs to work on her customer service attitude, not terribly helpful or friendly. She didn't even say 'welcome' upon our arrival or 'enjoy your stay', also didn't bother telling us about the hotel's amenities such as the pool and restaurants...we had to discover that on our own. The rooms are clean but the pool deck was not, also the exit doors were terribly filthy...cigarette butts and even a dead bird that was still there when we left 3 days later!
It was in a convenient location for us,and the view from the room out over Lake Ontario was beautiful, and a great deal also
Most rooms had a lakeside view. Beds were comfortable
TV reception was terrible. Connection kept breaking up and there were only 5 or 6 channels available. Bathroom fixtures needed to be updated. Toilet ran for a long time after flushing and shower head was terrible.
